They also have an extensive list of hiking trails.

Perham Stream

Birding Trail

The Perham Stream Birding Trail is a hidden gem just south of Rangeley, Maine, near Madrid Township. It’s a peaceful spot that follows a winding stream through woods and open meadows—perfect for a relaxing walk with binoculars in hand. The mix of habitats means you might spot all kinds of birds, from warblers and thrushes to woodpeckers and the occasional bald eagle soaring overhead. It’s especially active during spring and fall migrations. With beautiful mountain views and plenty of birdsong, it’s a great place to slow down and enjoy the natural side of western Maine.


Cascade Street

Gorge Trail

The Cascade Stream Gorge Trail in Rangeley, Maine, offers a rich birdwatching experience within its boreal forest setting. Birders can spot species such as the Boreal Chickadee, Gray Jay, and Black-backed Woodpecker. The trail's diverse habitats support sightings of Swainson's Thrush, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, and various warblers. Saddleback Mountain
